Protein Balls

Refined sugar free and high in protein. Great for an afternoon snack to beat those 3pm sugar cravings!


Prep time: 5 mins

Serves: Makes 10 – 12 balls


Ingredients:

6 fresh Medjool dates (deseeded and cut in half)

1 cup rolled oats

3 Tbsp. protein powder

2 Tbsp. raw cacao powder

1 Tbsp. Chia seeds

¼ cup mixed seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds)

¼ cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews and walnuts)

1/3 cup coconut oil

½ organic desiccated coconut


Method:

  1. Place all ingredients, except the desiccated coconut into a food processor until mixture comes together

  2. Roll level tablespoons of mixture into small balls.

  3. Place coconut into a small dish and roll balls in coconut to coat

  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Balls can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
